About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets
Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
Perform work in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart safety policy, and environmental guidelines
Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work frequently at heights

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
Large-scale rack refrigeration experience
Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification plus 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or commercial HVAC/R and building controls, OR 4 years of relevant experience
HVAC-R/mechanical journeyman qualification where required
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions in the last five years
No more than two moving violations in the last three years on a commercial driving record
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations in the last three years
At least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, use ladders, and work at heights
Ability to comply with OSHA and EPA regulations and safety guidelines
