About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytical models and machine learning solutions.
- Collaborate across functions to identify data sources, validate models, and ensure impactful insights.
- Mentor teams and apply innovative techniques to enhance Walmart’s data capabilities.
- Analyze business problems to identify root causes and recommend data-driven approaches.
- Design and implement machine learning models to drive predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Monitor model performance and ensure sustainability through lifecycle management and continuous improvement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics related field.
- Option 2: Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
- Option 3: 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
- Extensive experience in machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and advanced statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with full model deployment life cycle.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, causal inference, and agentic AI systems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, test, and deploy robust analytical models using a variety of data sources.
- Expertise in translating complex business problems into data-driven solutions with measurable impact.
- Proven leadership skills in mentoring teams and guiding technical development.
- Ability to communicate insights effectively through advanced data visualization and storytelling techniques.
