As a Staff Software Engineer on the Marketplace team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design and maintenance of advanced frameworks that elevate Walmart's Marketplace capabilities, ensuring unparalleled experience for both sellers and channel partners.
Your responsibilities will encompass coding, debugging, optimizing, and monitoring application health to ensure robust performance.
In addition to these technical duties, you will provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth, and actively collaborating with product and UX/UI teams to deliver seamless integrations.
You will oversee the management of the Walmart Marketplace Platform API, empowering third-party sellers to utilize services from Solution Partners effectively.

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of Experience with Java for backend services, including extensive experience with Spring Boot.
Experience in front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ReactJS, and Webpack.
Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, system design, and microservices architecture.
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with containerization tools like Kubernetes.
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as caching solutions.
Over 5 years of full-stack development experience in complex software systems.
Experience working in platform teams or building shared tools and frameworks for other developers.
Proven ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
Prior experience with cloud-native technologies (GCP/Azure) and DevOps practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in internal platform evangelism.
