About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support implementation of the campus Sustainability Masterplan initiatives.
  • Track, analyze, and report energy, water, and carbon performance metrics.
  • Assist in identifying and quantifying Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs).
  • Support Building Performance Standards (BPS) compliance and reporting.
  • Assist with troubleshooting HVAC performance issues across campus buildings.
  • Review BAS/SCADA trends (CHW, HHW, air systems) to identify inefficiencies.
  • Support resolution of hot/cold calls through data-driven diagnostics.
  • Coordinate with Facilities, contractors, and commissioning agents.
  • Assist in Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx) activities using platforms such as IES or equivalent.
  • Support functional testing, issue tracking, and corrective action verification.
  • Maintain commissioning documentation for LEED and internal standards.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for energy performance tracking.
  • Analyze utility data, interval data, and system-level trends.
  • Support measurement & verification (M&V) of implemented projects.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in energy engineering, HVAC systems, and building operations.
  • Expertise with BAS systems and HVAC equipment (AHUs, chillers, boilers, pumps).
  • Experience with energy analysis tools and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, commissioning practice, sustainability frameworks.
  • Experience in sustainability projects and initiatives in campus environments.
