About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a trusted resource and advisor to Sam’s Finance leaders on matters related to planning, reporting, and forecasting and as a key member of project teams responsible for transformation, representing the needs of Finance.
Identify and recommend Finance transformation initiatives focused on data modernization, automation, planning tools (e.g., OneStream), and GenAI enablement to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Lead the implementation of Finance tech and process enhancements, from business problem definition in support of Sam’s.
Work cross-functionally with Product and Tech to support successful delivery of transformation projects.
Seek opportunities to design and implement self-service data assets, reporting tools, and automated workflows that reduce manual effort and enhance actionable insights and leverage newer capabilities such as machine learning and GenAI.
Drive stakeholder engagement and change adoption through training, communications, feedback loops, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment with enterprise transformation strategies.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
Analyzing data and interpreting results, Microsoft Office, Working in a large, complex, matrixed organization.
