About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a portfolio of Sam's Club remodel projects from planning through grand opening
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and key milestones to ensure successful delivery
  • Partner with Construction, Design, Engineering, Operations, Merchandising, and external consultants to drive alignment and resolve issues
  • Identify risks early, develop mitigation plans, and communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement by standardizing processes and implementing lessons learned across projects
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to deliver an exceptional experience for members and associates
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards while minimizing disruption to club operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, civil engineering, project management, or related area, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years’ experience in commercial real estate project management, construction management, or facilities design
  • Experience managing capital improvement projects, including design coordination, permitting, contractor oversight, and budget management
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with combined capital budgets
  • Experience in retail, warehouse, or large-format commercial remodel projects (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects within occupied/operating facilities (preferred)
  • Experience mentoring or supervising project management staff (preferred)
  • Experience with project management tools (for example, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) (preferred)
  • PMP, CCM, or AIA certification (preferred)
