About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft and develop high-quality communications materials for the President and CEO of Walmart U.S., ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and messaging.
- Help manage executive social media and thought leadership content, identifying opportunities to elevate visibility and engagement.
- Support planning and execution of major Walmart U.S. internal events, ensuring timelines, approvals, deliverables, and logistics remain on track.
- Partner closely with Events, Creative, Digital, and cross-functional business teams to translate business priorities into clear, engaging messaging tailored for specific audiences, forums and audiences.
- Leverage tools and technology—including GenAI—to improve efficiency, organization, and quality of communications output.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 6 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area.
- 1 year’s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation development skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
- Experience supporting senior executives or leadership communications, in a complex organization preferred.
- Familiarity with executive social media platforms, communications technologies, and GenAI tools is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and a focus on continuous improvement.
