About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the development of world-class iOS applications that power Walmart’s e-commerce experience.
Design and build scalable, high-performance iOS applications using modern design patterns and technologies.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, secure, and intuitive mobile experiences.
Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design sessions, and mentoring junior engineers.
Own end-to-end feature delivery—from ideation and prototyping to deployment and production monitoring.
Optimize app performance, reliability, and battery efficiency using profiling tools and crash analytics.
Troubleshoot complex production issues leveraging observability platforms like OpenObserve.
Design and implement modular architectures that integrate with GraphQL APIs and microservices backends.
Implement and maintain automation testing frameworks for unit, functional, and end-to-end (E2E) testing to ensure high-quality releases.
Evaluate and integrate third-party SDKs and APIs to enhance app functionality and customer engagement.
Champion continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and technologies.
Stay current with Apple’s ecosystem, iOS trends, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
6+ years of professional experience in iOS development
Deep expertise in Swift, Objective-C, UIKit, SwiftUI
Proven experience architecting complex, modular, and testable mobile applications
Strong understanding of GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management
Proficiency in troubleshooting and performance optimization using tools like OpenObserve, crash analytics, and profilers
Solid experience in automation testing, including writing and maintaining unit, functional, and E2E test suites
Familiarity with mobile analytics, A/B testing, and personalization strategies
Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a passion for mentoring and team development
A customer-first mindset and a drive to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions at scale.
