About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic merchandise planning and financial forecasting to optimize category performance.
- Leverage advanced data analysis and visualization tools to drive informed decisions, aligning forecasts with cross-functional inputs.
- Develop and execute category strategies, manage inventory, and support vendor negotiations to enhance profitability.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising and omni-channel teams to anticipate customer demand and improve operational effectiveness.
- Foster team development while ensuring adherence to company policies and promoting continuous improvement in planning processes.
- Analyze vendor performance and provide financial inputs for negotiations and joint business planning.
- Lead line reviews and modular walkthroughs to assess merchandise performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field and 4 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.
- OR 6 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.
- Extensive experience in merchandise planning, financial forecasting, and category management for complex categories.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools to develop insights and influence strategic decisions.
- Expertise in customer demand planning and inventory management with an omni-channel customer focus.
- Proven ability to develop and execute category-level financial targets and budget recommendations.
- Skilled in collaborating cross-functionally to align forecasts and drive business plans.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and support negotiation processes with financial insights.
