About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and develop strategic plans for highly complex categories
- Support long-term business plans
- Execute prioritized strategic initiatives
- Analyze competition, customer behavior, and industry trends
- Guide suppliers, vendors, and your team in the development of customer-focused processes and products
- Drive planning, budgeting, forecasting, and growth for your categories
- Establish a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape
- Build and influence high-visibility supplier relationships
- Determine and support resource requirements
- Evaluate operational processes and measure outcomes
- Identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field and 5 years’ experience in merchandising management, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
- OR 7 years’ experience in merchandising management, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
- 2 years’ supervisory experience.
- Leading cross-functional teams
- Microsoft Office
- Negotiating with third-party suppliers
