About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drives financial planning, forecasting, and performance optimization across the transportation network.
- Leads analysis of key cost drivers such as freight, fuel, routing, and carrier performance to support data-driven decisions.
- Communicates financial performance to senior leadership, leads cost and efficiency initiatives, and ensures strong financial controls.
- Develops a high-performing team and promotes a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partners with Logistics, Fleet, and Supply Chain to manage transportation spend and optimize network performance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
- 1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
- 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- Deep experience in financial planning and analysis within transportation, logistics, supply chain, or a similarly complex operational environment.
- Proven ability to build financial models that evaluate routing, capacity, and cost-to-serve trade-offs.
- Experience partnering with operations teams to influence decisions and drive cost efficiencies while maintaining service levels.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex transportation and financial data into clear business insights.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, Excel, Tableau/Power BI) and large-scale data environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead large initiatives, and drive results in a dynamic, high-volume logistics network.
