About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- responsible for development of developer facing applications
- lead a team of engineers to build and deploy platforms
- direct large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects
- review and translate project requirements into technical solutions
- enhance design to prevent defects and ensure on-time delivery
- work with senior leadership to chart product roadmap
- improve and optimize software development processes
- hire, develop and retain software engineering teams
- interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- 2 years’ supervisory experience
- deep expertise in architecture and design patterns
- cloud-native microservices experience
- strong technical mindset with hands-on product development experience
- experience in leading Scrum teams
- hands on experience in building scalable cloud native software platforms/applications
- strong understanding of software development lifecycle
- strong Java/J2EE, React skill (good to have)
- strong understanding of architecture, database, messaging (Kafka services)
- SQL/Cosmos/Azure database proficiency
- experience in leading and delivering full-stack developer platform applications
