About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently conducts a high volume of complex, high‑risk, and impartial workplace investigations into allegations that an associate may have acted contrary to Walmart Canada policy and applicable law.
- Effectively manages high‑stress workplace conflicts among parties involved in investigations.
- Clearly communicates investigation findings, policy application, and related recommendations to senior management and legal counsel.
- Responsible for reaching appropriate conclusions in accordance with applicable employment laws.
- Properly handles highly sensitive, confidential information about associates and customers.
- Interviews customers on behalf of Walmart Canada regarding human rights, harassment, and discrimination.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bilingual — French and English
- Advanced legal drafting and writing skills
- Ability to remain neutral and composed during difficult interviews on sensitive issues
- Ability to analyze complex interpersonal issues and to articulate conclusions clearly and appropriately
- Ability to manage high levels of stress and interpersonal conflict on a daily basis
- Ability to quickly learn new areas of the business
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, manage time effectively, and deliver a high volume of work under tight deadlines
- Expertise in conducting impartial investigations into harassment and discrimination
- Expertise in reaching appropriate conclusions on allegations of harassment and discrimination
- Working familiarity with employment-related laws
