About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide financial decision support for supplier negotiations by delivering relevant data insights and risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain complex category-level forecasts, aligning projections with cross-functional inputs.
- Utilize data analytics and visualization tools to generate actionable merchandising insights and influence strategic decisions.
- Support budgeting processes by building financial targets and entering budget data into planning systems.
- Drive markdown management and vendor analysis to optimize category performance and profitability.
- Collaborate with merchant partners to develop assortment strategies and feature planning based on data-driven analysis.
- Lead post-modular performance reviews and present key financial metrics to leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related field and 4 years’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.
- OR 6 years’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.
- 2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
- Extensive experience in business analytics and data-driven decision making within merchandising environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities and develop financial forecasts.
- Strong expertise in predictive modeling, performance analysis, and data visualization to influence strategic decisions.
- Skilled in supporting supplier negotiations through financial insights and risk assessment.
- Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional collaboration and drive category-level assortment and promotional strategies.
- Proficient in leveraging digital tools to enhance analytics, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
- Experience mentoring and developing team members while promoting high ethical standards and integrity.
