About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of assigned remodel projects, from early planning and permitting through construction execution.
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring alignment with business, operational, and program goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cross‑functional partners including Real Estate, Construction, Operations, and external design consultants.
- Direct and coordinate architects, engineers, and consultants to support timely design development, permitting, and approvals.
- Proactively identify risks related to permitting, schedule, cost, and constructability, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Drive clear, consistent communication across stakeholders, escalating issues as needed and recommending solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Walmart standards, processes, and applicable codes and regulations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 3 years’ experience in architecture, construction management, engineering, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in architecture, construction management, engineering, or related area.
- Experience leading complex commercial, retail, or large‑scale remodel projects from planning through execution.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk across multiple projects.
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams and external consultants in a fast‑paced environment.
- Working knowledge of design development, permitting processes, construction documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to identify challenges early, think critically, and drive practical, solutions‑oriented outcomes.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and professionalism.
