About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Implement and manage real-time data streaming using Kafka and manage databases efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Optimize application performance and address bottlenecks.
  • Setup monitoring and alerting mechanisms for backend services health.
  • Collaborate with team leads for technical insights and end-to-end solutions.
  • Lead design and architecture of complex enterprise backend systems.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure high code quality.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring boot
  • Experience with Azure CosmosDB, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL
  • Implementing security and authentication mechanisms
  • Performance optimization and monitoring backend services
  • Familiarity with Apache Kafka for data streaming
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience supporting healthcare applications or data encryption
  • Understanding of source code management using GitHub
  • Navigating Linux operating system environments
  • Creating CI jobs using Jenkins or similar tools
  • Managing work using Jira
