About the role
- Lead and implement regulatory and policy strategies to reduce energy and utility expenses and increase access for clean electric generation in wholesale energy markets.
- Manage regulatory, regional transmission organization, and legislative processes related to wholesale energy markets.
- Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business goals.
- Ensure compliance with company standards of integrity and ethics.
Requirements
- Experience in energy regulation or policy, energy procurement, grid-scale resource development, energy management, or utility cost reduction.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Direct experience in regulatory and legislative processes related to energy and sustainability.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to interpret energy data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement solutions.
- Commitment to integrity, ethics, and fostering belonging.
- Experience with community outreach and building external partnerships (preferred).
- Advanced degree or certifications in law, economics, finance, accounting, energy management, sustainability, or related fields (nice to have).
