About the role

  • The Manager, Design and Production – Shows and Events leads the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact events that bring Walmart’s culture and business priorities to life.
  • This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, end-to-end event experiences—from concept development and technical production to vendor management, budgeting, and onsite execution.
  • By combining creative vision with operational excellence, the manager ensures events are engaging, on-brand, and executed with precision.
  • This role plays a key part in supporting senior leadership engagements, driving consistency across event delivery, and continuously enhancing the quality and impact of experiences across the campus.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and coordinate teams to deliver events on time.
  • Support execution of events aligned to business goals.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact; provide updates and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Track budgets, forecast costs, and process invoices for accuracy.
  • Coordinate vendors and ensure work meets Walmart standards.
  • Identify needs, implement solutions, and improve processes.
  • Deliver a high-quality, welcoming experience for associates and guests.
  • Share building and event information to support occupant experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 1 year's experience in event production related field OR 3 years' experience in business, event planning, or related field.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience in event planning, production, and management, including overseeing logistics and vendor coordination.
  • Strong project and budget management skills with the ability to forecast, track, and enforce budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, coupled with strong executive presence when engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and execute detailed show and event plans and content aligned with business objectives.
  • Expertise in managing onsite event execution, troubleshooting, and ensuring resource availability.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building relationships, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, with the confidence and executive presence to influence decision-making at all levels.
