Evaluate and guide adoption of cryptographic technologies, including key exchange mechanisms, digital signatures, and message authentication schemes in a post-quantum context.
Partner with hardware and cryptographic vendors to influence product direction, evaluate capabilities, and ensure alignment with long-term security requirements.
Assess emerging threats and advancements in quantum computing and cryptography, translating research into actionable engineering practices and risk mitigation strategies.
Design, implement, and oversee enterprise-scale cryptographic solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Drive modernization of security protocols (e.g., TLS, SSH, IPsec) to support hybrid and quantum-resistant cryptographic approaches.
Mentor and guide engineers, establishing best practices for secure development, cryptographic implementation, and infrastructure security.
Lead cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to embed cryptographic controls into platforms and services.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 3 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
5 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC.
Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 1 year’s experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects.
Knowledge in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility.
