About the role
- As a Systems & infra structure Engineer, you would be responsible to manage Audio Visuals, Event Coordination & Execution, Conference Room Design & Administration, AV Programming, Collaboration Tools Management.
- This role is crucial for ensuring seamless technology integration, system health, and superior user experiences across our corporate offices and hybrid environments.
- Design & Installation : Design, build, and supervise the physical installation of audio, video, and control equipment.
- Solution Design & Analysis : Analyse civil services, CAD drawings, and design AV solutions that deliver superior user experiences.
- Proposals & Inventory Management : Plan and prepare Bill of Quantity (BoQ) proposals, inventory lists, and technical designs for AV solutions.
- Installation & Configuration : Assist the team in installing, configuring, and managing large-scale displays, video walls, AV systems, and control devices.
- Testing & Commissioning : Oversee the testing and commissioning of AV systems post-installation, ensuring all equipment is fully functional.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Drive collaboration with business stakeholders such as consultants, IT teams, architects, construction teams, security staff, and other OEMs to ensure seamless execution of campus AV and room technology infrastructure.
- Prevent and Automate: Proactively determine the infra health and prevent the downtime or issue occurrence, introduce the automation and self-heal/fix to eliminate the failures.
- Collaboration Tools Support : Assist end-users with collaboration tools such as Zoom, MS Teams, Slack, etc.
- Room-Tech Management & Support : Help manage and support AV issues across various rooms, including VC rooms, training rooms, NOC/CCC rooms, experience centers, social hubs, and townhall areas.
- Support Systems : Address AV-related issues reported via support systems such as ticketing tools, telephone, and email.
- Advanced Troubleshooting : Provide advanced configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AV devices via dashboards, resolving issues remotely.
- Escalation Management : Act as an L2 and L3 point of escalation, handling issues and communicating progress in a timely manner.
- Troubleshooting VC Equipment : Troubleshoot various VC equipment (e.g., Cisco, Poly, Logitech, Neat).
- VC Endpoint Configuration : Configure VC endpoints on VCS and/or Cisco Unified Call Manager, troubleshoot, extract logs, and collaborate with manufacturers/vendors to resolve identified issues.
- Maintenance Planning : Plan and schedule periodic maintenance of AV equipment and video walls.
- Vendor Collaboration : Work with AV service providers for corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
- Inventory & Documentation : Maintain accurate records of AV equipment inventory and system configurations.
- Event hosting : Support major town halls and organization-wide events/webinars.
- Support Documentation : Publish support documentation to assist onsite staff and provide staff training as needed.
- Project Coordination : Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/OEMs for project coordination, resolving technical issues, and arranging for equipment servicing or replacements.
- Vendor Interaction : Interact with vendors for hardware issues and resolutions, raise tickets if necessary, and follow up for completion.
- Live Event Support : Operate and maintain professional & broadcast cameras and lighting equipment during live events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area.
- 3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization related technologies.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-On Experience: Proficiency with audio-visual equipment, including video conferencing systems, audio processors, sound systems, video walls, professional cameras, projectors, digital signage players, and control systems.
- Enterprise Support Experience: Experience in supporting AV technology and platforms in a large enterprise environment.
- AV Systems Programming: Proven experience in audio-visual systems engineering, conference room design, and Audio/Video or control systems programming.
- AV Device Monitoring: Experience with monitoring and configuring AV devices via dashboards such as Utelogy, Crestron Fusion, Xio Cloud, Poly Lens, Webex Cloud, Extron Global Viewer Enterprise software, etc.
- OEM Product Knowledge: Proficiency with AV OEM products such as Crestron, Extron, Lightware, Cisco, Poly, AMX, and similar AV integrated systems.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Advanced skills in troubleshooting AV issues, including application log analysis and cross-system troubleshooting.
- Collaboration Tools: Solid understanding of administering and managing collaboration tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- IT & Networking Knowledge: Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and civil/MEP services.
- Certifications: Certifications in relevant AV technologies (e.g., AVIXA CTS) or any other relevant certifications.
- ITIL Process Understanding: Familiarity with ITIL processes and support services.
- Camera & Lighting Systems: Experience in handling professional cameras and stage lighting systems.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Project Management: Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
