About the role
- Manage utility partnerships across electric, gas, water, sewer, and propane vendors in the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
- Assess and provide guidance on rate reviews, regulations, and participate in regulatory proceedings to control utility costs.
- Track and monetize proposed and approved utility rate increases to support regulatory efforts and cost forecasting.
- Develop and execute utility products, services, and incentive procurement for energy efficiency and electric vehicle charging.
- Lead utility data acquisition initiatives and collaborate with utility leaders and trade organizations to support operational objectives.
- Drive business plans by identifying needs, removing barriers, and measuring performance.
- Mentor and develop associates, fostering a high-performing team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in energy, finance, business, or related area and 1 year’s experience in the utilities business OR 3 years' experience in energy, finance, business, utilities business or related area.
- Extensive experience managing utility partnerships and navigating regulatory environments across multiple regions.
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, rate review assessments, and cost forecasting related to utility operations.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and projects aligned with operational and sustainability goals.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Skilled in building and maintaining influential relationships with utility leaders, regulators, and trade organizations.
- Proficient in project management and driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives.
- Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.
