About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary People Partner for Market 1, supporting clubs across Northern California, Reno, and Hawaii through strong relationships and consistent in‑market presence.
- Lead workforce management strategies—including staffing, scheduling, and retention—by analyzing data and driving consistent execution of people initiatives across a complex, multi‑state market.
- Advise and coach leaders on company policies, people practices, and compliance with state and federal employment regulations, navigating varying regulatory environments with consistency and sound judgment.
- Own market‑level talent strategies, including recruiting, performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning, while acting as a trusted advisor to remove barriers and support business priorities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in an HR related field (e.g., Industrial Relations) and 2 years of combined managerial experience supervising salaried Associates; OR 4 years of combined managerial experience supervising salaried Associates, including at least 2 years experience with HR management responsibilities (e.g., staffing, performance management, coaching and mentoring, training, compensation, promotion)
- Experience leading HR or People initiatives for a multi‑site or geographically dispersed workforce, ideally in complex or highly regulated environments.
- Strong ability to influence leaders, build trust, and partner effectively across levels and functions.
- Data‑driven mindset with experience using workforce and talent insights to guide decisions and actions.
- Knowledge of talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, and succession planning, with the ability to balance consistency and local nuance.
