About the role
- Conducts physical, mechanical, and performance testing on products and components using standardized test methods.
- Applies industry testing standards to ensure product compliance and reliability.
- Analyzes test data and prepares accurate reports with traceable documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintains laboratory instruments and ensures compliance with calibration schedules for accurate performance.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues and coordinates preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Verifies equipment performance against specifications and documents corrective actions.
- Develops and maintains documentation for audits, certifications, and internal quality reviews.
- Ensures adherence to safety protocols and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Partners with Product Development, Merchandising, Quality, and Sourcing teams to align testing requirements with business objectives.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance on testing protocols and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (for example, materials science, mechanical engineering, chemistry) and 3 years’ hands-on experience in product or material testing labs.
- 5 years’ experience in laboratory testing, quality assurance, or compliance.
- Experience applying industry standards in a quality assurance or compliance setting.
- Experience in lab equipment operation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience interpreting test specifications and documenting detailed, technical test results.
