About the role
- Join Walmart’s cybersecurity team as a Senior Intrusion Analyst, leveraging expertise in intrusion detection, incident response, and cyber risk management to safeguard organizational assets.
- This role involves analyzing complex security events, developing mitigation strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance intrusion management processes.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures for intrusion management and incident response.
- Conduct cyber risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend effective risk treatment options.
- Utilize data analytics and visualization techniques to interpret security event data and generate actionable insights.
- Oversee containment and recovery efforts for security incidents, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
- Drive continuous improvement of intrusion detection and prevention capabilities in a dynamic threat landscape.
Requirements
- Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3 years’ experience in intrusion analysis or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
- Option 2: 5 years’ experience in intrusion analysis or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
- Extensive knowledge of intrusion detection, prevention, and cyber incident response protocols.
- Proven experience in cyber risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and security information and event management (SIEM).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analytics tools and exploratory data analysis techniques.
- Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures for intrusion and incident management.
- Expertise in coordinating with stakeholders to drive effective cyber incident containment and recovery.
- Familiarity with industry standards, compliance requirements, and evolving cybersecurity threats.
- Demonstrated capability to lead cyber risk management activities aligned with organizational policies.
