About the role

  • Work closely with the tax partners on a diverse range of tax technical matters;
  • Assist in advising clients directly and in conjunction with other practice groups;
  • Include ongoing training, mentoring and support.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be a qualified lawyer or accountant (NQ to 1-3 years PQE);
  • Have passed or be in the process of completing their CTA exams;
  • Have relevant experience working in tax in a recognised law or accounting practice;
  • Strong academic credentials;
  • Strong tax technical skills and a passion for learning;
  • Excellent drafting skills;
  • Commercial awareness;
  • A calm and measured approach to problem solving;
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team;
  • A willingness to work hard;
  • An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients;
  • Previous financial services tax experience within a law firm is an advantage but is not a necessity.
