Regional Director of Business Development – Automotive Aftermarket

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and Develop Sales Talent
- Lead, coach, mentor, and support Business Developers across your region
- Drive accountability through KPI tracking and performance management
- Train teams on product knowledge, consultative selling, retention strategies, and customer growth
- Conduct field coaching and live customer development support
- Build strategic sales plans that accelerate regional performance
- Collaborate with Business Developers to forecast opportunities and execute growth strategies
- Identify new market opportunities and high-value business partnerships
- Monitor competitive activity and proactively adjust strategy
- Strengthen Strategic Partnerships
- Build trusted relationships with business partners and key customers
- Present and establish SmartVMA programs with qualified accounts
- Support live product demonstrations that build confidence and close business
- Deliver regular reporting to the CEO and senior leadership team
- Ensure CRM discipline and reporting accuracy across the region
- Monitor expense, mileage, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Align communication between sales, warehouse, delivery teams, and customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of proven success in B2B business development or sales leadership
- Demonstrated experience managing and coaching outside sales teams
- Strong record of revenue growth and market expansion
- Experience building strategic business partnerships
- Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Valid passport with ability to travel to the United States
- Personal vehicle required (mileage reimbursement provided)
