About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for a defined territory
  • Implement the sales plan and promote and demonstrate NDT products and services
  • Meet sales targets for all products in the territory
  • Visit customers daily to demonstrate products and discuss sales opportunities
  • Follow up on leads and conduct prospecting and cold calling
  • Complete customer quotations with sales engineers and support staff
  • Coordinate overall selling efforts with internal teams
  • Review and improve the Sales Plan and territory coverage
  • Respond to customer phone calls and emails promptly
  • Use the EVIDENT CRM package for daily tasks and management reporting
  • Complete periodic sales reports, calendar events, and opportunity management
  • Coordinate key-account sales with key account managers
  • Participate and present in local professional organizations
  • Operate within the EVIDENT Code of Ethics policy
  • Learn and implement the Miller Heiman strategic selling methodology
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Travel approximately 60% of the time for customer meetings, demonstrations, and sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in NDT, a related technical degree, or business discipline, or equivalent technical experience
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in high-end capital equipment sales or similar selling skills and training desired
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn the scientific principles and technology of the equipment
  • Sales territory management abilities are a plus
  • Self-directed, highly motivated strategic thinker
  • Approximately 60% travel within the assigned territory
  • Must be a U.S. Person and able to provide valid proof of status if hired
