Outside Sales Account Manager
Würth MRO, Safety, & MetalworkingAccount Manager at Wurth/MSM responsible for selling products and generating new business through existing and new customer relationships. Collaborate with sales channels and customer service for effective order management.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell and promote Wurth/MSM catalog products
- Generate new business while servicing existing territory base
- Call on existing customer base plus cold call potential customers
- Build customer relationships through consultative selling techniques
- Collaborate with customer service and branch location to develop new business
- Work with inside sales representatives for customer orders and pricing information
- Quote prices and determine customer eligibility for volume purchase programs
- Keep abreast of customer purchases using monthly reports
- Follow up on any samples or catalogs issued
- Collaborate with Product Trainer for product knowledge
- Meet territory reporting deadlines and participate in competitive reconnaissance
- Record activities and opportunities in CRM daily
- Supply feedback to company and be a resource for sales channels
- Plan and organize sales strategies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college
- One to three years selling experience preferred
- Must have valid and clean state driver's license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be organized and thorough
- Be a team player collaboratively working well with associates and managers
- The ability to be a self-starter, objective, assertive in their work
- Exhibit and maintain confidentiality with company related issues and materials
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of team leaders, managers, associates, and customers
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
