About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell and promote Wurth/MSM catalog products
  • Generate new business while servicing existing territory base
  • Call on existing customer base plus cold call potential customers
  • Build customer relationships through consultative selling techniques
  • Collaborate with customer service and branch location to develop new business
  • Work with inside sales representatives for customer orders and pricing information
  • Quote prices and determine customer eligibility for volume purchase programs
  • Keep abreast of customer purchases using monthly reports
  • Follow up on any samples or catalogs issued
  • Collaborate with Product Trainer for product knowledge
  • Meet territory reporting deadlines and participate in competitive reconnaissance
  • Record activities and opportunities in CRM daily
  • Supply feedback to company and be a resource for sales channels
  • Plan and organize sales strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college
  • One to three years selling experience preferred
  • Must have valid and clean state driver's license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be organized and thorough
  • Be a team player collaboratively working well with associates and managers
  • The ability to be a self-starter, objective, assertive in their work
  • Exhibit and maintain confidentiality with company related issues and materials
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of team leaders, managers, associates, and customers
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
