About the role
- Leads financial oversight and investment strategy for the real estate division, ensuring strong controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Directs financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, capital planning, and debt sourcing/servicing in partnership with Corporate Treasury and Accounting.
- Manages the identification, evaluation, and execution of real estate acquisitions, developments, and dispositions, including underwriting, feasibility, due diligence, entitlements, negotiations, and project management.
- Builds and maintains partner and lender relationships to structure transactions and advance strategic initiatives.
- Provides leadership to assigned teams and collaborates with organizational leaders to drive performance and maximize returns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study.
- Ten (10) years of progressive experience within the finance function of a complex organization of which at least three (3) years must be in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of widely accepted financial management practices and principles.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency maintaining, managing, and communicating FP&A, P&L’s, investment returns and proforma analyses.
- Knowledge of and proficiency navigating financial management systems (i.e. SAP).
- Ability to understand complex legal documents such as joint venture agreements, land contracts, title restrictions, and other documents related to real estate.
- Knowledge of real estate markets, industry analysis and best practices.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via FOR applications.
- High degree of knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
