  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to deliver education, solutions, and tools that enhance member experience, boost engagement, and drive positive outcomes.
  • Provide thoughtful feedback that addresses member needs, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Analyze data to uncover actionable insights, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making for members.
  • Improve business/practice operations by delivering recommendations and resources that increase efficiency, improve exam and capture rates, elevate sales, and reduce costs.
  • Advise member businesses on frame board allocation, eyewear assortment, price point strategy, and visual display to enhance the patient eyewear buying experience.
  • Work with member businesses on selling strategies and handoffs from doctor to optician.
  • Provide feedback and resources to improve workflow, elevate exam and capture rates, optimize sales, and reduce costs.
  • Conduct data analysis to assess optical business performance and collaborate with other advisors in discovering and understanding each member’s unique business objectives and needs.
  • Analyze data and underlying optical business processes to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present dashboards that visualize complex data sets; compare findings to industry benchmarks and work with business unit or practice on their strategy.
  • Research and develop unique resources and recommendations based on specific business unit and/or practice needs.
  • Identify business challenges and provide resources to address needs, partnering with external vendors to offer relevant solutions.
  • Deliver data-driven business insights by analyzing key metrics and customer trends to inform decision-making.
  • Advise members on business opportunities and determine relevant solutions that improve business operations, increase revenue, and contribute to growth and success.
  • Analyze business operations, requirements, needs, and goals; identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve operations.
  • Identify industry challenges and offer process or technical solutions to guide leaders to make informed transformation-driven decisions.
  • Provide recommendations on business process improvements and industry best practices, how to achieve long-term growth, reduce operational costs, etc.
  • Teach or facilitate training and educational sessions, present webinars, and create content articles.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or other related fields or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in optometry, business development, optical retail management, or eyecare industry operations
  • Familiarity with optical products and understanding of KPIs (e.g., capture rate, revenue per patient, etc.)
  • Capable of performing business assessments and identifying profit opportunities
  • Analytical and strategic problem solver and decision maker showing balanced consideration of business issues, risks, and rewards
  • Ability to elicit cooperation, motivate others, and drive results without direct authority
  • Strong business aptitude to support envisioning work, strategic planning, and measuring results
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills to address groups and facilitate discussions.
