About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the flow and look of retail stores
Review information gathered from the landlord and/or site survey to create a store layout
Ensure that all governing building codes are met and present floor plans to the internal store development team
Incorporate feedback and ensure requests comply with construction codes
Develop and produce a full set of architectural construction documents
Communicate with city officials and permit expeditors
Manage each stage of a project and communicate changes to the team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of work experience in chain retail store design and/or CAD design
Ability to create, read, understand, and interpret construction documents as well as architectural and engineering drawings
Working knowledge of governing construction codes and accessibility design guidelines (ADA, ANSI, Title 24, etc.)
Skilled in architectural design programs (Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
