About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, development and continuous improvement of joblivo’s web applications and mobile apps
Build modern user interfaces based on React, TypeScript and Ionic
Implement responsive and mobile-optimized interfaces for desktop, tablet, Android and iOS
Develop reusable, maintainable and well-documented UI components
Create and evolve a unified component library or design system
Translate UI/UX concepts in close collaboration with Product Owners, designers and business stakeholders
Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services
Implement complex forms, validations and multi-step user flows
Connect mobile device features using Ionic and Capacitor
Optimize applications for performance, usability and load times
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent presentation across devices
Create and maintain automated unit, component and end-to-end tests
Analyze and fix bugs while continuously improving code quality
Conduct code reviews and actively contribute to technical standards
Work as part of an agile, interdisciplinary product team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of professional experience building modern web and mobile applications
Strong knowledge of React and component-based UI architecture
Solid experience with TypeScript and JavaScript
Experience with Ionic React and ideally Capacitor
Excellent HTML5 and CSS3 skills
Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approaches
Proficiency with modern CSS concepts such as Flexbox, CSS Grid and media queries
Experience creating reusable UI components and design systems
Comfortable with Node.js, npm and modern frontend build tools such as Vite
Experience with state and server-state management (e.g. Redux Toolkit, Zustand or TanStack Query)
Experience integrating REST APIs as well as authentication and authorization
Experience with automated testing (e.g. Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress)
Knowledge of web performance, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
Proficient with Git and experienced in code reviews and CI/CD processes
Good understanding of UI/UX and a strong sense for consistent, intuitive user interfaces
Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
Strong communication and teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary environment
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Excellent German language skills (spoken and written) and good English skills for technical documentation
