About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide steady-state managed support for Cisco Unified Communications components, including UCM, CUC, IM&P, CER, and related voice gateway infrastructure
  • Perform 24/7 monitoring and proactive alert management using Cisco RTMT and supplemental monitoring tools
  • Conduct daily health checks across Cisco UC applications and voice gateways
  • Process Moves/Adds/Changes requests for users, IP phones, Jabber clients, dial plans, and call routing
  • Support patch management, upgrades, security patches, testing, and outage/change windows
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery activities, including CUCM DRS backups, VM-level backup coordination, restoration testing, and failover validation
  • Maintain technical documentation for Cisco UC configurations and integrations
  • Support ITAR-compliant administrative access practices, quarterly user access audits, and toll fraud prevention reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of hands-on Cisco Unified Communications administration experience
  • Experience preferably with Cisco UCM/CUCM, Cisco Unity Connection, IM&P, CER, Jabber, IP phones, and voice gateways
  • Experience with Cisco RTMT, UC health checks, alert triage, operational monitoring, and incident response
  • Ability to handle MAC requests, dial plan changes, call routing updates, phone/user provisioning, and support ticket documentation
  • Familiarity with LDAP/Active Directory integration for Cisco UC authentication and user provisioning
  • Understanding of UC patching, upgrade planning, backup/restore concepts, and change management practices
  • U.S. citizenship required pursuant to a government contract
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and value teamwork
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
