• Execute PCB test plans using bench equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, etc.) and document results

Senior Photonics Test Engineer

Mechanical Engineer

• Lead as the center of gravity for mechanical product design, ensuring the mechanical system reflects product intent, performance requirements, and cross-functional constraints.
• Own the end-to-end mechanical architecture of the product, integrating optical packaging, optical lenses, electrical PCB's, and thermal solutions into a cohesive, manufacturable design.
• Develop compact, rugged, and IP-rated enclosures for LiDAR sensors that meet environmental and mechanical requirements (shock, vibration, ingress protection, etc.).
• Design precision mechanical components and assemblies for optical elements such as lenses and mirrors.
• Model and implement cooling strategies to manage thermal loads.
• Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using tools like SolidWorks or Creo.
• Rapid prototype mechanical designs and support validation through thermal, mechanical, and environmental testing.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

• Define and implement end-of-line test strategies for LiDAR sensors, validating system-level performance (range, velocity, reflectivity, etc.)
• Lead the development of photonic wafer-level test (WLT) strategies and tooling in collaboration with photonic design and foundry partners
• Develop automated test fixtures and software to support both EOL and WLT in a production setting

• Design and simulate photonic components and system-level functionality and performance
• Design schematics, draw layout, as well as work with layout engineers to create photonic systems and component test structures.
• Own and drive complex tapeouts to completion on time
• Work closely with external manufacturing partners to inform component design, process integration, and performance monitoring.

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software and firmware for real-time operation of LiDAR systems.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, optical engineers, and signal processing experts to define system requirements and integrate hardware and software components.
• Develop and implement APIs for both prototypes and products for embedded imaging sensors.

• We are seeking a motivated and hands-on LiDAR Test Engineering Intern to join our team and directly contribute to the development of our next-generation LiDAR modules.
• Design & Build Test Fixture: Select and integrate electrical and mechanical connectors for module interface; Design and layout a custom PCB for testing functionality and signal access; Develop a mechanical enclosure for the test fixture ensuring ease of use and robustness.
• Test Automation & Data Handling: Write scripts to automate test execution and collect module performance data; Implement data storage and logging infrastructure for traceability; Perform initial data analysis (e.g., signal integrity, power, thermal, or optical performance) and summarize results for the engineering team.

Lidar Test Engineering Intern

• Transition our operations from pre-production to production. Establish, manage and execute the processes necessary to accomplish this transition in assembly, quality and supply chain management.
• Work with cross-functional engineering teams to understand the technical requirements of our products and ensure our suppliers have the manufacturing processes in place to meet design, quality, and cost requirements
• Develop and execute comprehensive production plans aligned with organizational objectives for capacity planning, resource allocation, and cost management.

• You will be responsible for converting raw sensor data into real-time continuous wave LiDAR point cloud images, collaborating closely with algorithm specialists to process and output 5D sensor data for our customers.
• Serve as a critical liaison between hardware and software, implementing control systems that maintain hardware operations while ensuring the integrity of the sensor data output.
• Creating real-time, efficient digital signal processing algorithms on an FPGA for high-throughput LiDAR sensor data and implementing LiDAR sensor active control systems on an FPGA.
• Lead the FPGA development process, including architecture definition, code simulation, RTL development and verification, hardware validation, and final testing.
• Advise system and signal processing R&D teams on achievable performance and optimal algorithms given cost and power constraints.
