About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop program budgets and schedules for new concepts and designs of lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft
Support proposal content creation for mission opportunities and internal development programs
Contribute to schedules, resourcing, risks, and budget estimations
Communicate with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to resolve technical risks and challenges
Build bottom-up estimates, including bills of materials, cash flow models, and labor estimates
Participate occasionally in customer, supply-chain, and partner visits and technical interchange meetings
Participate in cross-functional meetings to align project schedules and budgets with mission and business needs and the company technology roadmap
Manage early technology development projects and paid architecture studies, including budgets, schedules, deliverables, and customer interfacing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline plus 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience
Relevant advanced degree may be considered in lieu of equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in project or program management, project finance, and program planning
Experience developing programmatic content for proposals and external customer presentations
Experience authoring and decomposing financial and contractual volumes
Strong understanding of launch, space, and lunar environments
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to self-start with minimal guidance
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working with engineers with varied skill levels and backgrounds
Ability to adapt quickly, think creatively, make critical technical decisions, and take initiative
U.S. Person status required: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)
Must be eligible to obtain required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce
