About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, deploy, and manage DLP solutions across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments to detect and prevent potential data breaches.
- Monitor and analyze DLP events, conducting research to determine the root cause and scope of exposure.
- Develop and update DLP policies, rules, and procedures based on evolving business requirements, threat landscapes, and compliance obligations.
- Collaborate with Security, Legal, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to data protection laws and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on best practices for data handling and the importance of data loss prevention.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Six to eight years of professional IT experience.
- Experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols.
- Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative and communication skills, and strong judgement.
- Proven experience with data loss prevention platforms (e.g., Proofpoint, Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Zscaler).
- Strong understanding of data classification.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are preferred.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks.
