• Supervise show producers, including overseeing the work of creative leads.
• Develop original show concepts, pilots, and formats in key categories including sports, lifestyle, and culture.
• Act as a creative lead and quality steward for audio/video productions across platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, etc.).
• Scout and cultivate host talent in key categories, evaluating for original perspectives and charismatic presence, deep connections with an online community, and alignment with Vox Media's commitment to excellent, high quality content at scale.
• Collaborate closely with talent management, marketing, and sales teams to align programming with broader company goals.
• Provide production oversight, including scripting, creative feedback, and troubleshooting executional challenges.
• Guide the creative strategy for new launches with a keen understanding of platform nuances (YouTube algorithms vs. Reels engagement vs audio podcast promotion).
• Stay current on trends in digital content, platform algorithms, and audience behavior.

Content Writer

• Cover all things beauty on The Strategist on a daily basis and during tentpole events like Prime Day and Black Friday/Cyber Monday
• Work with and report to the senior editor who oversees all Strategist beauty coverage
• Identify story ideas, conceive approaches from The Strategist’s point of view, and pitch headlines
• Write and pitch short and longer stories and reviews that engage and enlighten readers
• Test new releases and closely follow beauty news and shopping trends
• Monitor social media to keep on top of breaking news and cultural conversations
• Contribute to the weekly Beauty Brief newsletter
• Play a key role during sales events throughout the year and work during sales holidays like Black Friday/Cyber weekend

Account Manager

• Account Strategy is responsible for the management and post-sale execution of all campaign types, including media, programmatic, branded content, editorial sponsorships, and audio.
• They are the campaign execution COOs and guardians of our work, ensuring that the interests of client and Vox Media team are met throughout production, and that all outputs are on time and of the highest quality and performance.
• Account Strategists (oftentimes in collaboration with Creative Services and Project Management) are the main POC to internal and external stakeholders including the client, agency, sales, product, design, and editorial, with a focus of cultivating strong, lasting relationships with our brand partners.
• Manage a high volume book of business, comprising of both larger, complex and smaller, fast-paced campaigns.
• Effectively and successfully manage multiple high priority campaigns at the same time.
• Act as the main point of contact on campaigns, for both internal and external stakeholders, creating and fostering a communication forum for all stakeholders.
• Lead conversations with legal regarding terms and usage rights for all campaigns
• Manage day to day operations of all campaign components, removing blockers, enforcing scope, and ensuring smooth and timely launch of all elements across all campaigns
• Lead client communications, acting as an extension of the client team and forming strong relationships and trust
• Ensure full delivery, optimize campaigns to hit or exceed all KPIs, and monitor revenue risk in collaboration with the AdOps team.
• Present strong performance stories and proactively approach clients with incremental opportunities and upselling
• Assist Revenue Accountants with billing actualization

Lead the Today, Explained newsletter, Vox's flagship daily email product.
Edit and write newsletter content; act as the newsletter host; assign and edit short pieces and Q&As.
Set strategy and editorial direction for the newsletter and manage editorial calendar.
Manage a part-time staff editor who handles newsletter production.
Monitor data and analytics to understand audience engagement and improve newsletter usefulness.
Work within Vox’s policy, politics and ideas team; may include other editorial duties.
Work mostly during business hours; evening and weekend work required as news demands.
