About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As Legal Counsel in the Commercial/IP/Litigation team, your role entails acting as a business partner with/for the operations teams to fulfill their business and legal needs with a particular focus on intellectual property matters, and to bolster the company’s asset-protection strategy, notably through IP protection, enforcement strategy, trademark portfolio management and litigation matters.
- Handle IP protection and infringement matters, such as trademark registrations, copyright and trademark enforcement matters, pre-litigation and litigation in France and abroad, and more generally contribute in a meaningful way to the company’s global IP portfolio and protection of its brands, products and content.
- Assist on a variety of agreements and legal matters across Voodoo’s products and activities, with a particular focus on IP-related provisions, licensing, protection and risk management.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve how the legal team supports the business.
- You will be a key member of the legal team working hand in hand with the operational teams in a very integrated manner. You will be the primary point of contact for any IP-related matters and will work closely with cross-functional teams in a highly integrated, hands-on environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- One to three years of relevant legal experience, ideally in an IP, litigation, media or tech-focused department of a law firm, or in-house with a tech/advertising company.
- Strong knowledge of IP law (copyright, trademarks, designs).
- Experience with litigation, particularly IP-related, in France (exposure to EU or US legal systems is a plus).
- Demonstrated interest or passion for IP strategy, protection and enforcement.
- Fluency in English and French required (written and spoken).
