About the role

  • Optimize game assets, shaders, and rendering pipelines for smooth performance on mobile devices.
  • Develop tools and scripts in Unity to streamline the workflow for artists and developers.
  • Work closely with game designers, artists, and developers to bring creative visions to life while maintaining technical efficiency.
  • Implement VFX, shaders, and lighting techniques to enhance the game’s visual appeal.
  • Ensure asset optimization (compression, polygon count, texture sizes) & optimal import into Unity without sacrificing quality.
  • Debug and troubleshoot graphical and performance issues on different mobile devices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in mobile game art and Unity development.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years as a Technical Artist in the mobile gaming industry
  • Strong Unity expertise, including shader development (Shader Graph/HLSL), particle systems, and rendering optimization
  • Proficiency in C# scripting for automating processes and enhancing tools
  • Understanding of mobile game constraints (performance, memory, draw calls, batching)
  • Experience with lighting, VFX, post-processing, and GPU profiling
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and texturing workflows (Blender, Maya, Photoshop, Substance)
  • Ability to debug and optimize art assets and rendering issues.
