About the role
- Prepare and implement in-plant supply chain processes related to new products and processes within in-plant logistics for Volvo
- Introduce new processes and roll-out of Lean Materials
- Design transport flow interface between local suppliers/logistic providers and plant
- Develop internal material flows from dock to point of use within the plant
- Design off-line sequence, kitting, and material preparation cells within logistics area of the plant
- Perform M3MU kaizen studies and problem-solving analysis across process optimization projects
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or related field
- 3 years of experience working in material flow engineering
- 3 years of experience utilizing Excel to perform data analysis
- 3 years of experience using AutoCAD
- 3 years of experience creating optimal layouts for in-plant logistics flow
