About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and technical assistance to the Case Management and Housing Specialist team
- Perform and oversee comprehensive assessments of program participants' needs
- Manage the program's most complex client cases
- Monitor, review, and audit participant case files, ensuring compliance
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development to Case Managers and Housing Specialists
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners and resource agencies
- Maintain and update all client files to ensure compliance
- Transport program participants as directed
- Establish and maintain positive relations with stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all VOA policies and safety regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred
- Two years of successful experience in the delivery of human services or any combination of education, training and experience
- Knowledge and experience with social casework objectives, principles, and methods
- Knowledge of Child Protective Services (CPS) and Adult Protective Services (APS)
- Experience working with the homeless population and the barriers faced by the unhoused
- Extensive experience with strength-based case management and trauma-informed care models
- Experience working with low-income adults from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds who have a history of homelessness or disability
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professional integrity
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Experience in report writing and advanced file management techniques
- Proficiency working with computers including Microsoft Office Suite and database systems
