About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operation, maintenance, and appearance of multiple facilities
  • Provide hands-on leadership for day-to-day facilities operations, preventive maintenance, vendor management, compliance activities, and small-to-moderate facility improvement projects
  • Supervise maintenance staff, manage operating budgets, support capital planning, and help ensure facilities support service delivery
  • Oversee operations and maintenance, supervise and develop maintenance staff, and conduct regular site inspections
  • Procure and manage third-party vendors and service contracts, monitor contractor performance, and coordinate facility-related projects
  • Develop and manage facility operating budgets and ensure maintenance and repair expenditures align with budget allocations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in facilities or maintenance management
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, vendor oversight, budget management, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in coordinating inspections, facility projects, and repair or replacement planning
  • Experience supporting capital planning, deferred maintenance tracking, or facility assessments preferred
  • Valid California driver's license and ability to meet the organization’s insurance carrier guidelines required
  • Must pass all required background clearances in accordance with agency, County, State, and federal standards
