About the role

  • Record and reconcile revenue and (COGS) transactions in the general ledger.
  • Process and apply customer payments and investigate discrepancies or unapplied cash.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules related to revenue and COGS.
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolve variances.
  • Support the month-end and quarter-end close process for revenue and related accounts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for revenue-related transactions.
  • Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed.
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based reports and reconciliations to support revenue operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred but will consider entry-level candidates.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue-related accounting concepts.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data manipulation, etc.).
  • Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
