About the role

  • Oversee customer-facing deployments, including device configuration, network setup, and system go-live.
  • Conduct on-site visits to verify setups and ensure smooth rollouts.
  • Lead installation of security technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., UL, NFPA).
  • Train stakeholders on system operation and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot network and device issues (e.g., VLANs, RTSP, firewalls, camera profiles).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve escalations and improve system reliability.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers in IDFs, and manage low-voltage cabling (Ethernet, fiber optics) with proper documentation.
  • Act as a trusted technical partner, ensuring maximum value from Volt AI’s solutions and providing proactive support to minimize downtime.
  • Document deployment insights to enhance future customer experiences.
  • Implement quality assurance/control to meet industry standards and organizational requirements.
  • Supervise field operations teams for efficient project completion.
  • Create and maintain accurate facility maps, as-built drawings, and system specifications.
  • Generate reports on field operations performance and recommend improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and innovative solutions.
  • Manage projects to deliver on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in technical field operations (preferably physical security).
  • 3+ years in customer-facing technical support/IT systems preferred.
  • Expertise in security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection).
  • Proficiency in networking (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Experience with IP cameras and RTSP streaming (preferred).
  • Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and quality control.
  • Ability to install, configure, and maintain servers in IDFs and manage low-voltage cabling (Ethernet, fiber optics).
  • Ability to work in field environments, perform physical labor, and travel frequently.
  • Familiarity with security standards (UL, NFPA, ASIS International) (preferred).
  • Experience with authentication protocols (ONVIF, profile management) (preferred).
  • CSPM, CPP, or equivalent (highly desirable).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) (preferred).
