About the role
- Oversee customer-facing deployments, including device configuration, network setup, and system go-live.
- Conduct on-site visits to verify setups and ensure smooth rollouts.
- Lead installation of security technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., UL, NFPA).
- Train stakeholders on system operation and best practices.
- Troubleshoot network and device issues (e.g., VLANs, RTSP, firewalls, camera profiles).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve escalations and improve system reliability.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers in IDFs, and manage low-voltage cabling (Ethernet, fiber optics) with proper documentation.
- Act as a trusted technical partner, ensuring maximum value from Volt AI’s solutions and providing proactive support to minimize downtime.
- Document deployment insights to enhance future customer experiences.
- Implement quality assurance/control to meet industry standards and organizational requirements.
- Supervise field operations teams for efficient project completion.
- Create and maintain accurate facility maps, as-built drawings, and system specifications.
- Generate reports on field operations performance and recommend improvements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and innovative solutions.
- Manage projects to deliver on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in technical field operations (preferably physical security).
- 3+ years in customer-facing technical support/IT systems preferred.
- Expertise in security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection).
- Proficiency in networking (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
- Experience with IP cameras and RTSP streaming (preferred).
- Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and quality control.
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain servers in IDFs and manage low-voltage cabling (Ethernet, fiber optics).
- Ability to work in field environments, perform physical labor, and travel frequently.
- Familiarity with security standards (UL, NFPA, ASIS International) (preferred).
- Experience with authentication protocols (ONVIF, profile management) (preferred).
- CSPM, CPP, or equivalent (highly desirable).
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) (preferred).
