About the role

  • Determination of material requirements for all Vollmann sites; annual Europe-wide tendering.
  • Annual price negotiations (flat products made of steel and aluminum).
  • Selection and development of suitable suppliers worldwide, balancing quality, cost and delivery performance (QKL).
  • Supplier evaluation.
  • Participation in project teams under the direction of the responsible project manager regarding the definition of material and purchased-part specifications.
  • Procurement of prototypes and pre-series parts up to series handover.
  • Independently conduct commercial contract negotiations through to conclusion and verify them over the contract term.

Requirements

  • University degree in business administration or commercial vocational training with professional experience.
  • Strong technical understanding, especially in forming/metal forming technology.
  • Experience leading small teams.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken (negotiation-level).
  • Independent, self-driven working style.
  • Resilience, teamwork and strong commitment.
  • Willingness to travel, particularly to our plants in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Rhineland-Palatinate (RP), Hesse, the Czech Republic and Hungary (valid driver's license required).
