About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own incoming data protection inquiries from customers and their data protection officers end-to-end
  • Maintain the internal GDPR foundation, including retention periods, records of processing activities, and technical and organizational measures
  • Ensure data protection measures are implemented with the teams that own the tools
  • Maintain an up-to-date picture of how customer data flows through the product in collaboration with tech leads
  • Review vendor contracts and data processing agreements (DPA/AVV) and support negotiations
  • Maintain data protection documentation in the trust center
  • Act as the main interface to the external DPO

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on data protection experience with a clear GDPR specialization
  • Experience in a modern SaaS environment, including products that use AI
  • Ability to assess and structure the compliant use of international sub-processors
  • Solid understanding of how data flows through a software product
  • Ability to build processes and policies
  • Understanding of how data protection connects to information security, quality, and regulatory topics
  • Pragmatic and creative approach to finding compliant solutions
  • Business-fluent English
  • German required for close work with customers based in Germany
  • Legal right to work in Germany
  • Comfortable using English at B2 level or higher
