  • Collaborate closely with Industrial Design and Mechanical Design to ensure proper physical integration of electronics into the product.
  • Select components and define electronic solutions aligned with product requirements and constraints.
  • Support the transition from prototype to production, working with manufacturers and suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute basic firmware or low-level programming tasks related to electronics bring-up and validation (not PC-level software).
  • Debug hardware issues using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Produce clear and practical technical documentation for electronics and prototypes.
  • Regularly work on-site with the Device and Mobile teams in Barcelona (1–2 days per week), using our electronics and prototyping workspace.
  • Participate in iterative prototyping, testing, and validation of physical devices.

Requirements

  • Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate, with availability to work on-site 1–2 days per week for hands-on hardware development.
  • Solid experience (typically 4–6+ years) in electronic hardware development for physical products.
  • Strong ability to work with electronic schematics and take designs through PCB prototyping and validation.
  • Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
  • Practical experience working with physical hardware, prototypes, and laboratory equipment.
  • Technical ownership of the electronic design and hardware integration of the product.
  • Understanding of basic firmware or embedded programming at electronics level (C/C++), sufficient to support hardware bring-up and validation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with mechanical and industrial designers, sharing a common technical language.
  • Experience working autonomously in small teams or product-focused environments.
