About the role
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to grow market presence in the assigned territory
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with municipalities, wastewater treatment plants, and engineering consultants
- Conduct technical consultations and site visits to assess customer needs and propose tailored solutions
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to highlight efficiency, reliability, and cost savings
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to ensure optimal equipment selection and system design
- Maintain strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, and municipal decision-makers
- Travel regularly within the region (Southeastern and South-Central states) to support customers, attend industry events, and grow the customer base
- Combine technical knowledge with a strong sales approach to build relationships with municipalities, engineering firms, and distributors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
- 3–5 years of outside technical sales experience, preferably with municipal wastewater pumps or grinders
- Strong understanding of pumping systems, fluid dynamics, and equipment troubleshooting
- Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and close complex sales
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a regional role
