About the role

  • Take responsibility for managing the general ledger
  • Leading the accounting team
  • Account for all company financial documents, including invoices, bank statements and other business transactions
  • Ensure accounting entries are accurate and meet corporate and regulatory deadlines
  • Work within GL processes and recommend improvements
  • Prepare and maintain accurate tax records and file VAT, WHT and CIT
  • Utilise technological solutions for financial record keeping
  • Manage the asset register and book monthly depreciation
  • Prepare annual financial statements and management reports
  • Own the balance sheet, ensure reconciliations, analysis and controls
  • Take responsibility for the month-end closing process
  • Work closely with external auditors
  • GUS (CSO) and NBP reporting and monthly group reporting cooperation
  • Act as contact person for correspondence with the tax authority
  • Drive alignment of company's accounting to IFRS
  • Participate in implementation of new ERP features or accounting system

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional background in a similar position
  • Knowledge of tax regulations including WHT and VAT and CIT
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards
  • At least fundamental knowledge of the principles of consolidating financial reports
  • Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Practical Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and multitasking skills
  • Experience with the Exact system is nice to have
