About the role
- Take responsibility for managing the general ledger
- Leading the accounting team
- Account for all company financial documents, including invoices, bank statements and other business transactions
- Ensure accounting entries are accurate and meet corporate and regulatory deadlines
- Work within GL processes and recommend improvements
- Prepare and maintain accurate tax records and file VAT, WHT and CIT
- Utilise technological solutions for financial record keeping
- Manage the asset register and book monthly depreciation
- Prepare annual financial statements and management reports
- Own the balance sheet, ensure reconciliations, analysis and controls
- Take responsibility for the month-end closing process
- Work closely with external auditors
- GUS (CSO) and NBP reporting and monthly group reporting cooperation
- Act as contact person for correspondence with the tax authority
- Drive alignment of company's accounting to IFRS
- Participate in implementation of new ERP features or accounting system
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional background in a similar position
- Knowledge of tax regulations including WHT and VAT and CIT
- Knowledge of IFRS standards
- At least fundamental knowledge of the principles of consolidating financial reports
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Practical Excel skills
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills
- Experience with the Exact system is nice to have
