About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform installation and maintenance activities in support of the fixed and mobile networks as well as Vodafone business solutions
- Install, commission and maintain the Vodafone network, products and services to agreed Vodafone standards and service levels without compromising safe working practices
- Regular climbing of Vodafone’s extensive fixed and mobile infrastructure up to 40 meters as well as rooftop-based working is essential
- Undertake regular health assessments to ensure that all aspects of the role is carried out safely
- Adhere to quality and H&S standards as well as achieving agreed performance targets
- Participate in a 24/7 callout rota as and when required
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge existing processes and procedures in order to deliver operational excellence for our customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience working at heights with the ability to achieve and maintain Advanced Climber / Tower Rescue Certification
- Passing regular health assessments in accordance with MATS guidance
- Provision of service, fault diagnosis and rectification of one or more of the following telecoms technologies: Multi-vendor CPE including Cisco, Juniper and ADVA
- Core transmission technologies including DWDM and Ethernet
- Mobile networking technologies 3G/4G/5G and associated equipment
- Microwave Radio Switch and Field DC power systems
- Ability to work both in a team and on your own efficiently and effectively
- Ability to work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Adaptability and the ability to learn new skills quickly
- Valid / full UK / EU driving license (Category B)
